Daily Activities Include:

Providing guidance and fostering the professional growth of team members through technical leadership, training suggestions, coaching, and mentorship. Overseeing and supporting projects for governmental, institutional, and industrial clients, with an emphasis on environmental infrastructure, including water and wastewater facilities, as well as commercial and residential developments across Canada. Aiding in the cultivation of client relationships and contributing to business expansion. Offering design insights, technical guidance, and instruction to fellow team members. Executing field investigations, condition evaluations, asset management assessments, space requirements studies, and both preliminary and detailed design work, including preparation of contract documents and administration. Leading business development initiatives, including proposal writing and presentations. Enhancing Dillon's corporate visibility through active involvement in professional organizations and committees, as well as participating in and presenting at industry conferences. Traveling to various business locations and Dillon offices as required.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills for Success:

A degree in Architecture. Must hold a valid license to practice as an Architect or be eligible for licensure within six months. Proven dedication to design excellence, team collaboration, and client satisfaction. Strong analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving, researching best practices, considering diverse perspectives, and developing innovative solutions. Ability to mentor and coach team members effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as graphic representation.

Experience Requirements

At least 10 years of relevant experience in consulting. Demonstrated success in collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. Experience with low embodied carbon initiatives is highly desirable. Knowledge of low embodied carbon building design is a significant advantage. Familiarity with proposal writing is preferred.
