Lead Financial Systems Consultant at Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company

Are you an experienced professional with a robust background in financial systems analysis and development? Company 1 is looking for a Lead Financial Systems Consultant to become a vital part of our Integrated Financial Solutions team. In this position, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to architect and develop sophisticated applications and tools that fulfill the financial operations' business needs. Your role will encompass providing technical and analytical assistance, crafting software solutions, and perpetually enhancing processes within the finance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the analysis, creation, development, and maintenance of high-quality solutions utilizing enterprise-wide tools
  • Work in partnership with project leaders to support tools and applications developed by the Integrated Financial Solutions team
  • Evaluate business requirements and design software/reporting solutions accordingly
  • Contribute to process enhancement objectives and best practices in Finance
  • Address customer service challenges and foster effective relationships within the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a major in Management Information Systems or a degree in Computer Science
  • Over 5 years of experience in a Consultant/Programmer/Analyst capacity
  • Proven leadership abilities and capacity to motivate team members
  • Strong technical expertise in Data Transformation Tools (SAS, SQL), Excel, VBA, and Power Query
  • Familiarity with BI Reporting tools is advantageous (Power BI)
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage with senior management
