Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the store team to achieve sales and profit goals, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Supervise and direct Team Members to ensure effective execution of store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and freight flow.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, including managing budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising standards in store and execution of feature space and seasonal layouts.
  • Interact with customers, Team Members, and other stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing employee engagement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop Team Members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy boxes.
