Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Development
- Develop and implement effective hiring strategies to attract and retain top talent, ensuring a strong and diverse team.
- Collaborate with the market's Authorized Trainer to design and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new team members.
- Lead by example, creating a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages team members to grow and develop their skills.
- Manage employee relations, including performance management, recognition, and continuous feedback to support career growth and personal development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
Customer Experience
- Drive sales growth and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) by executing our Selling 101 strategy and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience and maintaining customer loyalty.
- Lead and direct in-store team members to provide optimal customer service, ensuring every customer receives a personalized and engaging experience.
- Promote Lids' membership programs and special offers to customers, educating team members on the benefits and value proposition.
Operations
- Manage store operations, including scheduling, payroll, and inventory management, to ensure efficient and effective store performance.
- Plan and prepare the store schedule, considering team members' qualifications, availability, and performance to maintain optimal store operations.
- Manage business disruptions and provide operational continuity, ensuring minimal impact on store performance.
- Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Maintain store technology and equipment, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
- Effectively manage cash handling, including accurate opening and closing of the till, counterfeit protection practices, and consistent bank drops.
- Prepare the store for inventory audits and support in performing them as needed to confirm inventory accuracy.
Product and Inventory Management
- Develop and implement effective product strategies, including supervision and oversight of receiving, processing, merchandising, and exiting through purchase or transfer.
- Ensure product integrity, adhering to vendor-specific regulations and company standards.
- Monitor and manage sell-through, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing losses.
- Manage transfers or ship-backs according to company standards, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
- Execute optimal layout and visual merchandising (VM) or product presentation strategy, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
- Maintain the store's appearance and ambiance, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Proven supervisory skills, with capacity to deliver training material and assess retention.
- Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
