Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales and profit goals, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage the store team to ensure effective execution of operational processes, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and freight flow.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer engagement, and increase team productivity.
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential, and identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to plan and execute visual merchandising displays, and ensure a high level of store appearance and maintenance.
  • Lead and manage the shrink and safety programs, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy boxes and equipment.
