We are seeking a highly skilled Training Manager to join our team at McCain Foods (Canada). As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of factory-related employee training, including qualification processes, trainer development, budgeting, planning, coordination, and record keeping.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement training standards and measures that support the vision of self-sufficient teams in alignment with our site strategy.
- Ensure training materials are current and updated, and track the success of training programs, making improvements as needed.
- Deliver training programs to target audiences within our local manufacturing plant, and foster the development of internal subject matter experts through our Train-the-Trainer program.
- Provide primary support for new technologies as they become available, coordinating and preparing training schedules to accommodate facility needs.
- Control training expenses and manage expenditures to meet training needs, and provide guidance and indirect supervision to site or department training leaders.
- Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related field.
- Strong presentation, group facilitation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals across various organizational levels.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work within a production environment with regular floor presence, and willingness to work flexible hours to support the needs of our 24-hour operation.
