About the Role

The Financial Services Agent, Clientele role at Desjardins is a dynamic position that requires a strong understanding of business operations and a passion for building relationships with clients. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with account managers to maintain and grow business relationships with members and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with account managers to complete documentation following appointments with members and clients, including obtaining signatures, answering questions related to operations, and presenting and closing sales of products and services.
  • Activity Planning: Help prioritize weekly activities for account managers and plan upcoming follow-ups and solicitation activities.
  • Client Communication: Contact members and clients to confirm planned transactions, make courtesy calls upon request by the account managers, and help prepare and deliver presentations targeted at members and clients.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development by participating in a variety of solicitation activities and using contacts with members and clients to build strong business relationships.
  • File Management: Ensure files are complete and in compliance with all applicable deadlines and standards for quality.
  • Compliance: Respect all policies, practices, and standards in effect for conducting transactions and operations securely.

Requirements
  • Education: Attestation of Collegial Studies.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Language: Knowledge of French is required.
  • Skills: Ability to create financial statements, knowledge of products and services for businesses, and ability to enter financial data in systems.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of financing and credit management practices related to businesses, familiarity with compliance requirements for regulations on the distribution of financial products and services, and understanding of the philosophy and inner workings of a financial services cooperative.
