Job Summary

Starboard Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Site Project Coordinator to join our client's team in a remote project site. As a key member of the project team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of onsite construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing onsite construction activities, including defining project plans, schedules, and labor requirements.
  • Organize and maintain project site files and documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Review and analyze project designs, engineering requirements, and company standards to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and engineering design and testing.
  • Forecast and track changes to contractors' scopes of work, costs, and schedules.
  • Prepare and distribute regular site progress reports, highlighting key statistics and potential issues.
  • Assist in monitoring site statistics, including safety, labor, and environmental metrics.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide cost estimating and project management support as required.
  • Collaborate with site teams, engineering teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines.
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in project coordination or a related role, preferably in a remote construction environment.
  • Proficiency in software related to construction and/or mining industry, including Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, and SAP.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Mobility is essential, with a willingness to travel to and work at the project site.
  • Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to work in a challenging environment.
Location

This position will be based at the remote project site, with some travel required to the company's Saskatoon office.
