Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Assistant, Level 2 (Data Entry) is responsible for providing essential support in prescription processing, customer service, data management, and medication packaging.

This role typically operates from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as required by business demands.

Daily Responsibilities:

Enter medication and patient details into Kroll software Update medication records, including new patient information and hospital discharges Execute third-party adjudications necessary for billing prescriptions Organize and file medication orders and prescriptions accurately Transfer Kroll data to the PacMed machine Manage data within an electronic Medication Administration Record (MAR) system Serve as the primary phone contact for program partners Generate and distribute reports from Kroll, PacMed, and eMAR software as needed Prepare medications and associated documentation for delivery Complete daily tasks by the end of the shift Engage in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to uphold company and partner standards Maintain confidentiality and safeguard personal and organizational information Adhere to safety standards and guidelines specific to the organization and department Foster collaboration and support among team members Undertake additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

Graduate from an accredited institution (Pharmacy Assistant/Registered Technician/Pharmacist) Proficient in computer skills with a strong emphasis on data entry Familiarity with Kroll Pharmacy Systems is preferred A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous Experience in retail, community, or long-term care pharmacy settings is beneficial Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional telephone etiquette Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment Skill in prioritizing tasks and managing workload efficiently Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strategic thinker with strong decision-making capabilities Proficient problem-solving skills Self-motivated and eager to learn Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance High level of professionalism and integrity Positive attitude and cooperative demeanor towards team members and supervisors Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and discretion while respecting confidentiality Exhibits a strong service-oriented mindset

Technical Skills:

Data entry speed of 40 – 60 words per minute Experience with KROLL system Familiarity with eMAR software is a plus
