Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Labour and Material Costs: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, taking into account factors such as labour rates, material costs, and overheads.
  • Prepare Pre-Qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and qualifications for the project.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that our estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Provide Economic Feasibility Studies: Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects, taking into account factors such as budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
  • Project Cash Flow and Financing Requirements: Analyze project cash flow and financing requirements, ensuring that our estimates are accurate and that our clients have a clear understanding of the project's financial implications.
  • Estimate Reports and Quote Sheets: Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms, ensuring that all necessary information is included and that our clients have a clear understanding of the project's scope and requirements.
  • Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures, ensuring that our company's interests are protected and that we are well-positioned to secure contracts.
  • Contract Expenditures: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures, ensuring that our company's financial interests are protected and that we are meeting our project commitments.
  • Supply and Trade Contractor Directory: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring that our company has access to the best possible resources and that our clients are satisfied with the quality of our work.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, such as construction estimating or project management.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
