Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at CAPELA SURFACES INC.

Job Summary

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Develop and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and timely project completion
  • Review bids and negotiate costs with clients
  • Prepare contracts and tenders for construction projects
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
