We are seeking an experienced Team Lead/Manager/Director of Planning (Land Use/Development) to join our client's team in their Hamilton office.
This individual will play a key role in managing the team/office, client relationships, and project outcomes, while providing guidance and coaching to junior and intermediate staff.
The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and liaise directly with top developers and consultants.
Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage a team of Planners in the Hamilton office, including hiring, coaching, training, and mentoring.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including presenting to the public, committees, and councils.
- Project Outcomes: Oversee the completion of complex planning studies, development applications, and other projects.
- Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical information and recommendations through written reports, public responses, and presentations.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the real estate development industry.
- Education: Post-secondary education with a focus on Urban Planning is ideal. Graduate degree and professional designations are considered an asset.
- Leadership Skills: Superior leadership skills with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Proven communication, relationship management, and presentation skills.
