Lead Veterinary Care at Highlands Animal Hospital

Location: North Vancouver, BC

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team as Medical Director at Highlands Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care and overseeing medical cases to ensure positive outcomes and accurate estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert veterinary care to our patients
  • Oversee medical cases for veterinary doctors to ensure high-quality care and accurate estimates
  • Review and enhance medical protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Create a culture of teamwork and exceptional client service
  • Collaborate with hospital management to review financial performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in recruiting qualified Veterinarians and mentoring rotating internship students

Requirements:

  • Experience leading a team of veterinary professionals in addressing changes and improvements to medical protocols
  • Dedication to promoting team-based medicine practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet owners, and the community
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities for rotating internship students
