Are you skilled in roofing and eager to make a difference in the solar energy sector? Northern PWR is on the lookout for dedicated individuals to become part of our installation team in the Calgary region.

Position Overview:

As a vital member of our solar installation crew, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding solar solutions to our clients. Collaborating closely with fellow installers and electricians, you will ensure that installations are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards. Comprehensive training will be provided alongside our electrical and installation teams to equip you for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Complete installation projects within specified timelines and budgets while maintaining quality assurance.
  • Assemble solar array racking, ensuring all roof penetrations are properly sealed and all related equipment is installed correctly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, effectively delegating tasks and addressing any crew-related challenges.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any system malfunctions or operational issues that may arise.
  • Engage with customers in a professional and respectful manner, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Reside in the Calgary area.
  • Prior experience working on residential roofs is essential.
  • Apprentice-level electrical experience is preferred.
  • Possess a reliable vehicle for daily transportation.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of work.
  • Experience in other construction or installation roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift 45-50 lbs and comfortable with ladder work.
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools is required.
  • Availability for full-time work is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a solar installer.
  • Possession of a fall arrest safety certification.

Compensation:

We offer a wattage-based pay structure, allowing you to maximize your earnings potential. Expected annual compensation ranges from $80,000 to $95,000.
