Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Education Assistant to join our team at New Beginnings Early Learning Center. As an Early Childhood Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare program and contributing to the development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including the upkeep of daycare equipment and facilities.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support record-keeping by assisting early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Engage children in activities that foster their growth and development, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, including proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges faced by children, and contribute to the development of strategies to support their growth.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid Certificate to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, educators, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve program goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
