Resource Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resource Teacher to join our team at Frontier School Division. As a Resource Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and providing targeted interventions to enhance their academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in small group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement differentiated instruction strategies
- Assist with the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to support student learning
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
- Bachelor of Education degree and preferably a Master's Degree in Education or related field
- Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
- Manitoba Special Education certificate or certification in progress
- At least five years of teaching experience
- Previous experience as a Resource Teacher
- Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life
- Excellent understanding of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction
- Knowledge and training in formal and informal assessment
- Familiar with appropriate educational programming
- Ability to complete provincial documentation requirements for appropriate educational programming
- Ability to interpret educational and cognitive assessments
- Willingness to be trained in intervention programs presently in place
- A commitment to continue to support on-going programs in the school
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
