About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at CG Eagle Construction inc. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring they are clean, dry, and free of any debris.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, applying pressure to affix them to the base, and aligning and straightening them to ensure a professional finish.
  • Mortar and Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel to secure tiles in place.
  • Plan and Sketch Preparation: Prepare rough plans and sketches to visualize the tile layout and ensure a seamless installation.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Work outdoors in various locations, including construction sites and client premises.
  • Work Setting: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines to meet.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, as you will be handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Work Conditions: Work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and heavy lifting.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
