Job Summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Administration: Assist with updating project documentation, including drawings and specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of field activities, including quality control, production, labor, and materials.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking and management, including time sheets, costs, and quantities.
  • Quantity Takeoffs: Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs to support project planning and execution.
  • Quality Control: Assist in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Safety Management: Conduct basic safety inspections, identify and correct safety hazards, and lead by example in safety practices and procedures.
  • Subtrade Partner Management: Assist the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes, and billings, as well as workforce planning.
  • Scheduling: Assist with scheduling and monitoring project performance to ensure timely completion.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including supervisors and subtrade partners.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of progressive experience as a field coordinator is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures; effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
