Job Title:
Procurement Quality Specialist – Retail Consumer Goods and Bulk Food Commodities (Import and Export)

About Us:

Dass Imports International Ltd is a vibrant and swiftly expanding organization focused on the distribution of food, agriculture, and packaged consumer products.

We are in search of a driven and meticulous procurement quality specialist with proficiency in the import and export of bulk food, agricultural products, and consumer-packaged goods (CPG), catering to both retail and wholesale procurement.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the complete procurement cycle, ensuring the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of products while upholding superior quality standards.

This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the CPG and Grocery sectors, robust negotiation capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.


Market Research and Supplier Evaluation:

Perform extensive market analysis to identify trends, pricing, and new products within the bulk food, agricultural, CPG, and Grocery markets.
Assess and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other essential performance metrics.


Negotiation and Contract Oversight:

Engage in negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
Create purchase orders and manage the procurement workflow from order initiation to delivery.


Quality Control:

Collaborate closely with quality assurance teams to establish and uphold product quality benchmarks.
Address and resolve any quality-related concerns with suppliers in a timely manner.
Analyze expenses and pinpoint opportunities for cost reductions without sacrificing product quality.
Implement strategies to enhance procurement processes and minimize overall costs.
Coordinate with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and finance to comprehend their procurement requirements.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align procurement efforts with broader business goals.


Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in procurement – import/export, ideally within the bulk food, agriculture, CPG, and Grocery sectors.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools is essential.
This is an on-site position with an estimated 25% travel requirement.
