Job Summary:

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for acquiring goods and services to satisfy the inventory needs of our manufacturing department while minimizing shortages and inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire goods and services to meet the inventory needs of the manufacturing department while minimizing shortages and inventory costs.
  • Reduce part costs while improving quality and delivery times.
  • Expedite goods delivery when necessary.
  • Negotiate with vendors to maintain positive relationships.
  • Find new and alternative suppliers for existing and new components.
  • Execute on MRP plans for purchase orders.

Requirements and Skills:

  • University, college, or technical post-secondary education.
  • Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience with AX or D365 systems is an asset.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers.
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to develop recommendations and strategic solutions from data/information.
  • Well-organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize needs.
  • Team player.
