Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a key member of our Search and Rescue operations, you will be responsible for performing first and second-level maintenance on the Cormorant Helicopter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on aircraft mechanical, structural, and electrical systems and components, including servicing, inspection, removal, cleaning, repair, installation, adjustment, testing, and certification.
  • Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling, and defueling of aircraft.
  • Perform ground runs of engines and auxiliary power units, where qualified and authorized.
  • Travel to other main operating bases, deployments, and remote sites to support maintenance and operations.
  • Provide on-the-job training to other employees and attend training sessions for trade and professional development.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment by sweeping and cleaning hangar, shop, stores, and office areas.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's license or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental systems, and power generation and distribution systems.
  • Valid NS Class 5 Driver's License and ability to drive vehicles, tow tractors, and support vehicles.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP's Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
  • Pass and maintain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
