Job Overview

Join our team at CANERA HOMES INC as a dedicated Rough Carpenter. We are looking for a skilled individual who is passionate about construction and renovation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
Work Environment

The position involves working in various settings including:

  • Construction sites
  • Renovation projects
  • Commercial and residential buildings
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing layouts that comply with building codes using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials such as wood and lightweight steel.
  • Constructing foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roofs.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Coordinating and scheduling work on-site.
  • Instructing apprentices and estimating costs and materials.
  • Utilizing CADD and other software systems for design and planning.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating wooden structures across various establishments.
Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel is essential for this role.

Physical Demands

This position requires:

  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and manage a large workload.
  • Meeting tight deadlines in a physically demanding environment.
