We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PAROS GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that construction projects are completed according to plans.
- Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
- Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for construction projects, ensuring that materials are ordered and delivered on time.
- Maintain and Repair Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including construction sites, mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Operate Hand Tools: Operate hand tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Work in a Physically Demanding Environment: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
- Work Setting: Ability to work in a construction setting.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
