About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Systems Engineer to join our team at Shogun Maitake Canada Co Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess employee productivity and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Inventory Optimization: Analyze and optimize inventory levels and machinery utilization to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Manufacturing Systems Design: Design and implement manufacturing systems that meet the needs of our business, including the development of performance standards and wage programs.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training needed to succeed.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of production costs to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Inventory Programs: Implement and manage inventory programs to ensure accurate tracking and management of inventory levels.
  • Facility Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of our industrial facilities to identify opportunities for enhancement and improvement.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with industrial health and safety regulations.
About You
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the food sector.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and MS Office, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel internationally for business purposes.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
