Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator

Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) have merged to form CPKC, a truly North American railway. We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for the operational support, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and expansion of Linux environments. This includes providing direction and advice on capacity planning, future installations, and design. The successful candidate will also work closely with the architecture group to design and validate new designs and installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and advice on capacity planning and future installations
  • Design and configure converged infrastructure
  • Cluster experience with SLES and RH
  • Virtualization technologies using VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V
  • Storage technologies using Dell/EMC and Netapp
  • Protocols including CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and FC
  • Cisco Networking Products and Networking technologies
  • Containerization platforms and Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and automation technologies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 to 15 years Infrastructure experience
  • 1 to 3 years virtual infrastructure experience
  • Knowledge in virtualization technologies, storage technologies, and networking protocols
