About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at CPKC. As a key member of our Information Services department, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on Linux operational systems, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and advice on capacity planning, future installations, and design
  • Offer guidance on automating and orchestrating Linux environments using Tanium, Orchestrator, and automation suites
  • Configure and manage Linux environments using Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, and Desired State Configuration (DSC)
  • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, bash, and Python
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 to 15 years of infrastructure experience
  • 1 to 3 years of virtual infrastructure experience
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Virtualization technologies using VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V
  • Design and configuration of converged infrastructure
  • Cluster experience with SLES and RH
  • VCenter or Nutanix tools
  • Storage technologies using Dell/EMC and Netapp
  • Protocols including CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and FC
  • Cisco networking products
  • Networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, and switching
  • Cisco UCS servers
  • VMWare hypervisor and UCS bare-metal
  • Containerization platforms
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated experience documenting environments and runbooks
  • Azure infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and automation technologies
  • Infrastructure as code platforms, including Terraform, Packer, and Azure Resource Manager/CloudFormation templates
