Electrical Field Evaluations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Field Evaluations Representative to join our team at CSA Group in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our Product Group, you will provide Special Inspection and US Field Evaluation services to clients across Quebec and occasionally in other countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical evaluations of non-certified equipment according to the SPE-1000 code, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to schedule inspections, review costing procedures, and provide technical information and direction.
  • Document technical reports for required alterations to sub-standard equipment and review details of corrective action with clients.
  • Conduct research on technical and procedural issues, including standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Lab, and colleagues on procedural issues, interpretation, and past practices.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Technology or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Three to five years' experience in a related field, with certification or lab testing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory procedures.
  • Bilingualism (French, written and spoken) is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, good decision-making skills, and organizational skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to handle difficult situations.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Microsoft Outlook, and usage of calibrated measurement instruments, high voltage test equipment, and hand tools.
