Job Overview:

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Field Evaluation Specialist. This role involves providing specialized inspection and evaluation services for electrical equipment, primarily serving clients in Quebec and occasionally in other regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough technical assessments of non-certified electrical equipment in accordance with relevant standards. Ensures that products comply with safety regulations and are devoid of potential hazards.
  • Engages with clients professionally to arrange inspection schedules, clarify pricing structures, address inquiries, and deliver technical guidance related to the evaluation process.
  • Prepares detailed technical reports outlining necessary modifications for equipment that does not meet established standards.
  • Discusses corrective measures with clients to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Performs research on technical standards and procedural guidelines to stay informed on industry best practices.
  • Collaborates with engineering teams and laboratory staff to address procedural challenges and interpret standards effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary diploma in Technology or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in a relevant area.
  • Previous experience in certification or laboratory testing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments and standard operating procedures is essential.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple evaluation projects and adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and testing data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills to navigate challenging situations.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and familiar with measurement tools and high-voltage testing equipment.
