About the Role

GSL RENOVATION INC. is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden furniture and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Train Apprentices: Supervise and instruct apprentices in the art of cabinetmaking, ensuring they develop the necessary skills to excel in the trade.
  • Plan and Execute Projects: Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom wooden products, including furniture, fixtures, and related items.
  • Assemble and Finish Products: Trim joints, fit parts together, and apply finishes to create high-quality, finished products.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Supervise and Coordinate: Oversee other workers, estimate costs and materials, and make decisions to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
  • Repair and Restore: Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products to meet customer needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, moving around the workshop as needed.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
