Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Train Apprentices: Supervise and instruct apprentices in the art of cabinetmaking, ensuring they develop the necessary skills to excel in the trade.
  • Design and Plan: Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom wooden products that meet our clients' expectations.
  • Woodworking Expertise: Trim joints, fit parts, and subassemblies together to form complete units, and reinforce joints to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Finishing Touches: Sand wooden surfaces, apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics to achieve a professional finish.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Cost Estimation and Material Management: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Restoration and Repair: Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products to meet our clients' needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
