Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is accountable for performing a variety of tasks within the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine sectors.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:

  • Maintain current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
  • Demonstrate recent experience of 3 - 5 years in a core laboratory setting.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Be proficient with routine automated laboratory equipment.
  • Provide flexible coverage across multiple sites as operational needs arise.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work independently during off-hours as required.
  • Possess a positive demeanor with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Meet the physical demands associated with the role.
  • Maintain a satisfactory employment and attendance record.
Additional Information

Work Schedule: Shifts may include Days, Evenings, and Nights, with variability based on operational requirements.

Compensation: $46.32 per hour.
