Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated In-Home Child Care Specialist to join the Onu Family. This role involves providing nurturing care and support to children in a home environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role
Work Environment
  • Setting: Employer's home
  • Environment: Non-smoking
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
  • Shop for groceries and household necessities
  • Accompany the family on trips, providing child supervision and assistance with household duties
  • Manage laundry duties including washing, ironing, and pressing clothing
  • Care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Implement discipline strategies as directed by parents
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development
  • Maintain records of daily activities and health information
  • Ensure a safe and healthy living environment
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals
  • Support children during rest periods
  • Supervise and provide care for children
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments
  • Attend to the emotional needs of children
  • Assist with homework and educational activities
  • Prepare meals as needed
