Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Early Learning and Child Care Consultants. As a key member of our Child Care Operations team, you will play a vital role in advancing the Canada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, license, and monitor child care services to ensure high-quality care for children.
  • Support parents and caregivers by providing guidance and resources to meet their child care needs.
  • Collaborate with community groups and individuals to identify and address child care challenges.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information about early childhood care and education is available to the public.
  • Enforce The Child Care Act and The Child Care Regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to mediate and negotiate solutions with various stakeholder groups in a diplomatic manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify needs and issues and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities to achieve work objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Director of a child care centre or equivalent experience in early childhood care and education.
  • Formal education in early childhood care, child development, and education programming.
  • Knowledge of non-profit organization administration and board dynamics.
