In this impactful role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance staff well-being, engagement, and satisfaction. You will champion initiatives that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring these values are deeply embedded in our organizational culture. Your leadership will also extend to overseeing staff relations, including conflict resolution, employee support services, and professional development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Staff Support and Relations Department, cultivating a culture of positivity, support, and service excellence.
- Develop and execute policies, programs, and initiatives designed to elevate staff well-being, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts, integrating these values into all practices and organizational culture.
- Advocate for reconciliation initiatives within the organization, establishing authentic relationships with Indigenous communities and incorporating Indigenous perspectives.
- Oversee staff relations, encompassing conflict resolution, employee support services, and professional development programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in human resources and staff support.
- Collaborate closely with school leaders, teachers, staff, and stakeholders to address staff needs and concerns.
- Offer mentorship and opportunities for professional development within the department.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of staff support programs and initiatives, utilizing data to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the organization in negotiations and labor relations matters, ensuring equitable treatment for all staff.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a school principal.
- Extensive background in human resources, staff support, preferably within the education sector.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a strong understanding of reconciliation initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
