Strategic Leader for Staff Support

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as Assistant Superintendent of Staff Support. This is a key role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Staff Support and Relations Department, fostering a culture of positivity, support, and service excellence.
- Develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that promote staff well-being, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Lead the division's efforts in equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring these principles are embedded in all practices and organizational culture.
- Champion truth and reconciliation initiatives within the division, working to build meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities and incorporating Indigenous perspectives into our practices.
- Oversee staff relations, including conflict resolution, employee support services, and professional development programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in human resources and staff support.
- Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, staff, and other stakeholders to identify and address staff needs and concerns.
- Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities for personnel in the department.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of staff support programs and initiatives, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the division in negotiations and labour relations matters, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all staff.
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Must have experience as a school principal.
- Extensive experience in human resources, staff support, or a related area, preferably within the education sector.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a deep understanding of truth and reconciliation Calls to Action.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
- Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
