Assistant Manager

Guardteck Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our site, ensuring the highest level of security and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Set an example for other staff members to follow, and act as a mentor to new staff and coach to existing staff.
- Act as the manager's eyes and ears on site, ensuring directives are carried out and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Understand both the operational and business side of management to make informed decisions and reach equitable conclusions.
- Enforce professional standards onsite, including staff training, development, and disciplinary action.
- Stay connected with site Admin officer, Clients, and Supervisors to ensure any issues are addressed.
- Emergency procedures must be memorized, and you must be fit for duty and able to pass intermediate courses such as AST/OFA2.
- Assist the Security Manager and Admin Officer with scheduling, logistics, hiring, staff coaching & discipline, incident investigations, high-risk confrontations, terminations, and risk assessments.
- Conduct interior and exterior checks of back corridors, stairwells, mechanical, hydro, and sprinkler rooms to ensure staff compliance.
- Conduct audits of staff deportment, dress, lighthouse usage, etc.
- Intimate knowledge of opening, closing, and patrol procedures.
- Write excellent incident reports with perfect spelling, grammar, punctuation, and serve as a reviewer.
- Conduct briefings, debriefings, post-critical incident debriefings, and speak publicly in front of large tenant associations.
- Take ownership of the site, its staff, and its difficulties, planning solutions to any issues.
- Communicate constantly with the site manager, admin officer, GuardTeck management, and clients.
- Act assertively and with hustle while maintaining tact, diplomacy, communication, empathy, and understanding.
- 2+ years experience in a supervisor capacity/related role.
- British Columbia Security License
- OFA 2 Certification
