Mathematics Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Educator to join our team at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and a proven track record of teaching excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Course Development: The Mathematics Educator will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses at the university level, including developing and delivering course materials, assessments, and evaluations.
- Curriculum Design and Implementation: The successful candidate will work with the department to design and implement mathematics curricula that align with the university's academic goals and standards.
- Student Support and Advising: The Mathematics Educator will provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection, academic progress, and career development.
- Professional Development: The successful candidate will participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education and to enhance their teaching skills.
- Education: A Master's degree in mathematics education or a related field is required. A PhD in mathematics education or a related field is an asset.
- Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in mathematics education at the post-secondary level.
- Skills: The Mathematics Educator will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff. They will also have a strong understanding of mathematics education principles and practices, as well as experience with curriculum design and implementation.
