Mathematics Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Educator to join our team at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in mathematics education.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Course Development: The Mathematics Educator will be responsible for developing and delivering a theoretically sophisticated and relevant course in mathematics education at the university level.
- Course Delivery and Assessment: The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and grade all course materials and assignments, and be available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session.
- Collaboration and Professional Development: The Mathematics Educator will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance their teaching practice.
- Student Support and Engagement: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field is required, with a Master's degree in education and/or mathematics preferred.
- Experience: The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching mathematics education at the pre-service and/or 7-12 teaching level, with experience in infusing technologies in practice as purposeful teaching tools for, as, and of mathematics learning in the classroom.
- Skills and Abilities: The Mathematics Educator will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
- PhD in Mathematics Education: A PhD in mathematics education is an asset.
- Experience in Online Learning Platforms: Experience working in online learning platforms is an asset.
