Job Title: Mathematics Education Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Education Specialist to join our team at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics education courses at the university level, developing and delivering curriculum, and assessing student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver mathematics education courses that align with the university's curriculum and accreditation requirements.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies that promote student-centered learning.
- Stay current with developments in mathematics education research and best practices.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement curriculum.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in mathematics education or a related field.
- PhD in mathematics education or a related field (an asset).
- Experience teaching mathematics education courses at the university level.
- Experience developing and implementing curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics education research and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a virtual environment.
- Experience working with learning management systems.
