We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Training and Development. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Community Engagement: Promote the bank's image within the community through participation and leadership in community business groups, initiatives, and fundraisers.
- Branch Administration: Oversee complex daily branch administrative duties, including mutual funds, RESL, and compliance-related issues.
- Service Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of service and advice strategies to achieve business objectives and branch goals.
- Risk Management: Protect the interests of the organization by identifying and managing risks, and escalating non-standard, high-risk transactions or activities as necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements, and assess potential impacts.
- Culture of Risk Management: Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
- Business Partnerships: Work alongside other business lines, including Wealth and Business Banking, to stay abreast of emerging trends in the market, support referrals across business lines, and provide ongoing training and coaching to branch colleagues.
- Team Management: Responsible for the management of the overall team, providing leadership and guidance.
- Team Development: Grow team expertise to align with business and enterprise demand and direction, provide ongoing feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop colleagues, and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all colleagues.
- Performance Management: Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team, track, monitor, and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner.
- Compliance and Risk: Ensure colleagues are in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines of conduct, and escalate to the appropriate partners to manage colleague risk.
- Brand Ambassador: Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and externally.
- Education: Undergraduate degree.
- Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience.
