About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Provide support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus, as well as responding to any student needs during the journey.
  • Collaborate with other drivers and transportation staff to ensure smooth and efficient route operations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to undergo and pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks.

What We Offer

  • A competitive starting wage of $20/hour, with a minimum of $60 per day.
  • No experience necessary - we provide comprehensive training.
  • Additional hours available through charter route opportunities.
  • A child ride-along program for your own children.
  • No nights or weekends.
