Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events, promotions, and menu launches.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading a kitchen team and achieving high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and working under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
