Strategic Partnerships Manager

We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented sales expert to take on the role of Strategic Partnerships Manager at Glasslake Funding. This position will report directly to the Director of National Sales.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting and facilitating mortgage applications for both small commercial and residential properties within a specified territory. This involves building and nurturing relationships with mortgage brokers while implementing effective sales tactics to drive business growth. The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be tasked with generating new business, ensuring quality loan submissions, and managing all aspects of their loan pipeline. A solid understanding of the company's offerings, policies, and procedures is essential.
The ideal applicant will possess extensive knowledge of the mortgage sector, outstanding self-management capabilities, and a proven history of surpassing sales objectives. Familiarity with commercial lending is advantageous but not a prerequisite. The candidate will leverage independent judgment, analytical skills, and discretion to cultivate fruitful relationships with brokers and other intermediaries, ultimately driving loan volume and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and engage mortgage brokers who offer products aligned with the company's standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with essential business partners in assigned regions.
- Continuously generate and sustain a robust pipeline of transactions to meet sales goals and performance metrics.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Travel as necessary to conduct sales presentations and broker recruitment, including partner training sessions, industry conferences, and trade shows.
- Analyze market trends, competitor actions, and broker feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Seek out and pursue new business opportunities to enhance market share.
Facilitate Diligence and Closing:
- Serve as the primary liaison with borrowers from the initial credit application through to loan closing, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Oversee the coordination of borrower onboarding, loan underwriting, and funding processes to ensure efficiency.
- Communicate credit committee decisions and loan terms clearly to borrowers.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to cultivate relationships.
- Motivated and willing to exert extra effort to achieve personal objectives.
- Strong time management skills to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Goal-oriented with a positive outlook.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; receptive to guidance and collaborative approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to remain adaptable and meet deadlines under pressure with little oversight.
- Solid understanding of real estate and financial principles.
- Strong analytical and underwriting capabilities.
- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in sales, particularly within the mortgage broker sector.
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region as required.
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
