Job Title: Dredge Operator

CEDA is seeking a skilled Dredge Operator to join our team at the CNRL Horizon site in Fort McMurray, AB.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading organization in the industry, utilizing your expertise in operating dredges and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain dredges, pumps, and other heavy equipment
  • Clean and prepare equipment for operation
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to safety protocols
  • Manage deposition areas, plant facilities, and tank farms
  • Manipulate valves, operate diesel pumps, and manage sump levels
  • Perform other tasks to assist with process and machine operations

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with pumps, centrifuge systems, or dredging and dewatering
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract
  • Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights with fall restraint equipment
  • Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment
