About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graduate Administrator to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a Graduate Administrator, you will play a critical role in the administration of our tri-campus graduate program, providing academic support to current and potential graduate students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate logistical details for the execution of admissions processes, including reviewing and assessing applications.
  • Provide academic counselling to students on graduate program-associated matters, including advising on eligibility requirements, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Deliver student recruitment presentations and provide detailed information on program and course eligibility requirements.
  • Verify student access to courses in student information systems and review and approve changes to program requirements for exceptional cases.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years' relevant experience advising students on academic matters for degree program support.
  • Experience in administering admissions processes, fee deferrals, course enrollment, and timetabling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally and tactfully engage with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Good judgment to make decisions involving the application of policy and respond to student and faculty matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of the University of Toronto, with emphasis on the Faculty of Arts and Science graduate academic guidelines and procedures.
  • Experience coordinating scholarships and fellowships to the School of Graduate Studies, developing and maintaining records and files.
  • Experience organizing events and providing administrative support to committees.
