The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in providing clerical and organizational support within a collaborative environment. Ensures a secure atmosphere for patients, families, and personnel by following established safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
- Communicate essential information to healthcare professionals and external organizations.
- Schedule appointments and diagnostic tests for patients.
- Welcome visitors and address their inquiries.
- Prepare meeting agendas, draft minutes, and coordinate meetings/conferences.
- Manage incoming mail by screening and distributing it effectively.
- Edit and format documents for official correspondence.
- Assist in the collection and preparation of reports.
- Support clinician scheduling and time management.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 and a secretarial training program.
- Typing proficiency of 50 words per minute.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Capability to organize tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to reconciliation and understanding of indigenous communities.
