Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a two-year full-time contractually limited term appointment in French Linguistics at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
About the Position:
The successful candidate will have a PhD in French or Linguistics or a related area, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. They will have expertise in experimental or corpus-based French linguistics, and a focus on language acquisition, bi/multilingualism, or psycholinguistics.
Responsibilities:
- Pursue innovative and independent research, and establish an outstanding research program.
- Teach both French linguistics (FRE) and French-as-a-second-language (FSL) courses in the French undergraduate programs.
- Develop and maintain an active program of research, and participate in experiential education and community outreach activities.
Requirements:
- PhD in French or Linguistics or a related area.
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching.
- Native or near-native proficiency in French and a strong command of spoken and written English.
What We Offer:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
