At Samuel, Son & Co., we're seeking a highly skilled Sr. Applications Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you'll play a crucial role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with our Sales team to understand customer automation needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Create detailed proposals, budgets, and technical specifications for automation projects.
  • Interface with various departments to ensure successful project execution and incorporate feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to collect technical details and clarify requirements.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information.
  • Analyze equipment supply for compliance with industry standards.
  • Present solutions to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project execution.
  • Act as a mentor for our Applications team, providing guidance and support for optimum solutions.
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and procedures.

What You'll Bring

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in industrial automation, with 5 years of Applications/Technical Sales experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel internationally and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Level of Autonomy and Authority

  • Work independently, with clear guidelines, defined standards, and specifications.
  • Guide and monitor the work of other staff on a project basis.
  • Provide input and recommendations to management on areas of improvement.
  • Support other projects, including installation of automated equipment, customer service, and training.
