At Samuel, Son & Co., we're seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Automation Solutions Specialist. As a key member of our Applications team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering innovative automation solutions to our customers.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with our Sales team to understand customer automation needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Create detailed proposals and budgets for automation opportunities, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Interface with various departments to incorporate feedback and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to collect technical details and clarify requirements.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to convey requirements, obtain pricing, and understand lead times.
  • Analyze equipment supply for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Present solutions to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project support.
  • Act as a mentor for our Applications team, ensuring optimum solutions for existing and new customers.
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, including electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in industrial automation, with a minimum of 5 years in Applications/Technical Sales.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English.
