About the Role

The Program Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing data management and monitoring processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in social sciences, statistics, computer science, public health, or a related field. A master's degree or certification in monitoring, evaluation, and data management is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a full stack developer, with a specialization in DHIS2 Academy level 2 being an asset.
  • Extensive expertise in data management utilizing DHIS2, Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and other relevant platforms.
  • A proven track record of translating technical requirements into database specifications and creating user-friendly applications.
  • Experience with global or national DHIS2 instances and a user-centered approach to requirements gathering.
  • Advanced knowledge of web-based applications, web service technologies, and mobile data collection solutions.
  • Familiarity with SQL/Postgres is a plus.
  • Understanding of results-based management, performance measurement frameworks, and program monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, data management, and numeracy skills.
  • Research capabilities, including literature review and analysis.
  • Experience in database management.
  • Preferred experience with MS SharePoint.
  • Field experience in developing countries and/or with cross-cultural teams is advantageous.
  • A commitment to principles of gender equality.
